We leave...TONIGHT!!!

Well, this is it!  I cannot believe how fast this trip approached.  Yet somehow, I am calmly at ease.  The Lord has blessed me with a peace that transcends any worry.  (Praise God for that!) I think I can speak for most of us when I say there is no stress in our hearts as we are about to follow the Lord's call for us to Rwanda.  This is a trip where we will learn to go with the flow (aka God's ultimate plan.)  To be honest, as a team member I am not sure what our set schedule is for these next two weeks, but I trust the Lord and our leader, Kreg, that our schedules will be full with work.  I know there are several missions we want to accomplish, but details will start unraveling once we are on the field in Rwanda.  In the past, my mission trips have consisted of a concise schedule and knowing months in advance what orphanages, schools, and homes we would be visiting. This time, God is saying - TRUST ME.  I will use you how I want to use you.  Go to Rwanda, and embrace my plan for you.  I'm hearing Him loud and clear, so now all that's left is to hop on that red eye flight at LAX tonight!  So, that's where we are currently at.  While I have to finish packing (I'm a last minute person...) I want to give you the important reminder to continue praying for us!!!! If you haven't figured out by now, that is one of my favorite life subjects.  Prayer has become an essential part of my existence, and I thank you for making it a part of yours as well as our team heads out to Africa.  A few specific team prayer requests to keep in mind -

Tristen - that the Lord would heal her swimmer's ear and that it would not be a problem while traveling, pray for a speedy recovery.  Pray for her son to have a joyful time with both sets of his grandparents while Tristen is away. Pray for comfort for her husband while she's gone, as well!

Travis - that the Lord would guide him in his work, and use him for His glory.  Pray that Travis is able to share the Lord's love to all the people in Rwanda.

Noelle - that we would all stay healthy and hydrated and remember to take our medications.  Pray that we give our whole selves to God and to the trip, with no hesitation and never holding back.

For all of us - Pray that our hearts are fully prepared and ready to be ambassadors for Christ.  Pray that all anxiety and stress is eliminated, and that the enemy will stay far away from us.  Pray that we would be armed with God's glory in this spiritual warfare.  Pray for the people of Rwanda as they prepare to see us, that they will be open minded to learn from us.  Pray that we would do the same; I know there is so much to learn from these beautiful people and their culture.  Pray for safety as we travel for about 27 hours...yes, you heard me correctly!

I AM SO EXCITED!!!!!! Thank you my brothers and sisters in Christ for your support, you will hear from us again when we are in Rwanda!!!!!!

"'For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’
“Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’
“The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’"

-Matthew 25: 35 - 40

ALL GLORY BE TO HIM!!!!
