"Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers."
Glory be to God!!!
Earlier in the day, we had free time to do as we please, and some of us walked down to the soccer field and met dozens of children to love on! A freestyle game of soccer began, and the children were in awe of our cameras. Amazing how they fight to see their picture on the screen after one is taken! So many hearts were touched here, and we are so excited to see them again.
It was a long day, and we were all EXHAUSTED by the end of the night. We went to a nearby hotel for dinner, the Bethany, and waited four hours for our food. Let's just say some of us....(Noelle, Travis, Julianna, Ryan, Kyle and myself....) fell asleep on the table. Delirium took over, and it was definitely a memory to look back and laugh at!
Today, we took off for our second round of home visits, and they were just as successful as the first. During the home visit including Tristen, Noelle, and myself we had the opportunity to go to a nearby Congolese market. The woman we visited, Eileen, was so generous she even cooked us a snack of corn on the cob! Their corn here does not taste the same either, but we thoroughly enjoyed it. She then asked if she could she us the market, and what a blessed experience! People form the Congo take boats over to Kibuye and vice versa to sell their goods. So many sights were seen, my Nikon camera was loving it!
We are back at the fort now, ready to rest up for the long and exciting day tomorrow. Tomorrow we are having the soccer festival!!!! Churches from around the town have organized their teams and are ready to play. We have been planning and getting details together, and tomorrow at 9 am the fun begins! Our day will consist of worship, soccer, fun games, and a bible teaching. So much love will be shared!
Thank ya'll for the support and prayers, we miss you!!!
(Also adding pictures to the last blog, check those out for group pictures!)
