Well, I can finally say we have arrived safely in Rwanda! After 33 grueling hours of traveling, we are all exhausted and in need of a nap. Spirits are high and excitement looms in the air, mixed in with extreme tiredness though! We are currently at the Purpose Driven PEACE Office House in Kigali, where we met with some leaders here in the PEACE Plan. Emmanuel of the leadership staff will be joining us on the field for the next two days, and we are so excited to work with him. We have been going over extra cultural training, and I say with certainty we are prepared to be on the field (after a good night's rest, anyways!) Nothing too exciting to report yet, the adventures will begin tomorrow. We just wanted to check in and let everyone know we are safe and sound!
The internet is really slow and only occasionally available, so we may not be able to post as often as we had hoped. Pictures also take incredibly long to upload, but we will be trying!
Holy, holy, holy is He!!!!!
Keep the prayers coming!!!!
"But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint." Isaiah 40.31 NLT
ReplyDeletePraying for a peaceful nights sleep. May God renew your bodies and minds to be prepared for the next adventure!
ReplyDeleteGreat news! We miss you guys and pray for you. I hope that you know how many notes I have received of love, support and prayer for your mission. Tell Elizabeth and Travis that Peter, Tanner Savannah and Ringo are holding down the fort.
ReplyDeleteI'm so excited for all of you! I knew getting there would be exhausting, so I'm hoping you get some good rest before the adventures begin! I sang and prayed for you this morning during the "Choose Joy" study being taught by Kay Warren. I thought of you when she quoted Nehemiah 8:10 "The joy of the Lord is your strength." So stay strong and find your joy in the Lord! God Bless You!
